New Day Set To Star With The Undertaker In Interactive Netflix Horror Film

New Day and The Undertaker are both featured in a new WWE and Netflix interactive film set to debut in October on the streaming platform.

Don’t look now, but the Undertaker is doing more work with WWE… kind of. A new interactive horror film that will be presented on Netflix and feature both The Undertaker and New Day is set to hit the streaming platform on October 5, 2021. In it, viewers will be able to choose what path New Day takes to escape from The Deadman.

Netflix has previously jumped into the interactive film world on their platform and WWE is the latest company to partner with the streaming video service to that end. Essentially, the question of, ‘Can New escape The Undertaker?’ is asked and the entire point of the film is to help direct the WWE trio on their quest to get away and escape his haunted mansion. The house is filled with traps and challenges and you, as the viewer, get to make choices to see what happens. If you’ve ever watched a Bear Grylls show where you choose what he does out in the wild, this is like a wrestling version of that.

WWE signed a deal with Netflix back in February 2019 and at least one of their partnered productions has already aired on the service, such as “The Main Event” the featured Keith Lee, Kingston, Sheamus, The Miz, and Commander Azeez. There are also future projects in the works, such as the Vince McMahon docuseries which is set to premiere on Netflix at a later date.

As far as this New Day and Undertaker film is concerned, as per a report and some photos by Bloody Disgusting, the film is described as “The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day at his mansion. What they don’t know: The Undertaker’s mansion is an extreme Haunted House, packed to the brim with supernatural challenges. It’s up to viewers to decide the fate of these three poor souls trying to survive the wrath of The Undertaker.”

WWE SmackDown Preview 6/26/20 – Special Tribute To The Undertaker

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown on FOX will air on a tape delay from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

SmackDown tonight will feature a tribute to The Undertaker. The special tribute to Taker will include the Boneyard Match from WrestleMania 36, which saw Taker defeat AJ Styles.

It’s interesting to note that WWE has edited their SmackDown preview for tonight, removing previously announced segments. It was announced before that Styles will also be in action tonight as he defends his WWE Intercontinental Title against Drew Gulak. It was also announced that SmackDown will feature WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman addressing Bray Wyatt, and Sheamus raising a toast to Jeff Hardy. The WWE website no longer includes the previews on Styles vs. Gulak, Strowman or Sheamus and Hardy.

The Undertaker Keeping His Look From WrestleMania 36?

There’s no word yet on when The Undertaker will be back in action for WWE, but it looks like he will be the version of The Deadman that we saw during The Boneyard Match with AJ Styles during Night One of WrestleMania 36.

It was reported by @Wrestlevotes how WWE sources have said that whenever we see Taker next, he will likely be using the new “American Badass” style character that we saw this past weekend.

Taker wore all black and used his motorcycle for the Boneyard Match win over Styles at WrestleMania 36. Taker has modified his look several times over the years, but this was the closest to his “American Badass” character that we’ve seen.

Sting Interested In Coming Out Of Retirement For A Match With The Undertaker At WrestleMania 36

WWE Hall of Famer Sting still has interest in a match with The Undertaker.

The 60 year old Stinger spoke with Sports Illustrated this week and said he’s still open to the idea of stepping in the ring one last time to go out on his terms. Sting announced his retirement in 2016 after a neck injury, but said he would accept one last booking if he had the chance to face the 54 year old Taker at WrestleMania 36 in April.

“If there was a Taker situation at WrestleMania, I would listen to that phone call,” Sting said. “I could get in condition and I could pull it off.”

Despite the interest in one more match on his terms, it was noted that Sting is aware that the match is unlikely to ever happen. Sting said he still thinks about the situation every year.

“I think my career is done,” Sting said. “I still think about the Taker situation every year, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

Sting also commented on the success that RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has had over the last year or so.

“Becky’s taken the women beyond where they’ve ever been,” Sting said. “To see her headlining WrestleMania, and the reactions that she and some of the other women are getting, it’s incredible.”

After decades in pro wrestling, Sting finally made his WWE debut at the 2014 Survivor Series pay-per-view. He said he still feels the goosebumps from that night. Sting commented on the support he’s received in the final part of his career.

“I’m more and more humbled by the people and their support as the years go by,” he said. “That’s always been the case, but it’s probably even more so now.”

The Undertaker Reportedly Signs Lengthy WWE Contract

Don’t expect to ever see The Undertaker appear for AEW or any other pro wrestling promotion as The Dead Man really is a WWE lifer, according to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It was reported back in mid-April that Taker had recently signed a new WWE big-money deal. Taker put ink to the new contract after Vince McMahon reportedly made him an offer he couldn’t refuse, financially. There weren’t many details revealed on the new contract, but there was an agreement that Taker could no longer work the non-WWE dates that he had started booking. This is what led to Taker being pulled from the Starrcast II convention during AEW’s Double Or Nothing weekend back in late May, after he had already been announced to appear.

In an update, the Observer reports that Taker’s new WWE deal, while not exactly billed as a lifetime contract, is for so many years that for all intents & purposes, it is a lifetime deal.

It’s interesting that Taker agreed to such a lengthy deal as he reportedly felt like his WWE career was over, or coming to an end, following his matches in late 2018 – the tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel in November, which saw Taker and Kane lose to WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels and Triple H, and the No DQ loss to Triple H at WWE Super ShowDown in October. That’s when Taker started booking the non-WWE paydays. Vince was said to be really upset when the Starrcast appearance was announced, but the lucrative contract offer was made once things calmed down between the two sides. It had been reported in early 2018 that Taker was charging $25,000 per hour for non-WWE appearances, and that he would have no trouble getting booked.

There’s no word yet on when The Dead Man will return to the ring, but he will likely wrestle during WWE’s next event from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, planned for Friday, November 1. We could also see him in action at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 24, but that has not been confirmed. Taker vs. Drew McIntyre was rumored for SummerSlam at one point, but that match is not on the books for the August 11 pay-per-view. While Taker did not perform at WrestleMania 35 this year, he has worked two matches since signing the new big money contract – he defeated WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg at Super ShowDown on June 7, and then teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat McIntyre and Shane McMahon at Extreme Rules on July 14.

WWE RAW Highlights 7/1/19 – AJ Styles, The Club, The Undertaker, Strowman & Lashley, Kanellis’s, 24/7 Title, Street Profits & More

Last night on RAW there was a heel turn by AJ Styles and The Club are officially back together as they beat down United States Champion Ricochet after he retained his title in the main event of RAW against Styles.

Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre called out The Undertaker and he came out to the ring and had a message for Shane & Drew.

Braun Strowman & Bobby Lashley were both taken by ambulance to the hospital after Strowman speared Lashley through the stage’s LED boards which sparked some explosions.

Mike and Maria Kaneliis had a mix tag team match against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. During the match, Maria announced as Becky was about to hit her that she was pregnant, but that she doesn’t believe Mike was man enough to be the one to have impregnated her. After The Kanellis’ lost, she got on the microphone and further berated her husband.

Drake Maverick regained the 24/7 title from R-Truth just as he was heading out on his honeymoon.

The Undertaker Makes Surprise Appearance On RAW (Video), Set For Match At WWE Extreme Rules

The Undertaker made a surprise appearance last night on WWE RAW.

Taker made the save for Roman Reigns as he was being double teamed by Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre in their 2-on-1 Handicap Match. The crowd loudly cheered Taker on, for one of the loudest RAW pops in recent memory, as he chokeslammed Shane and dropped Drew. Taker would continue the attack on Shane and Drew before sending them retreating up the ramp.

There was no interaction besides Taker and Reigns, but Taker did briefly look down at Reigns as he recovered in the corner. The segment ended by going to commercial as Shane and Drew looked on from the ramp, shocked at The Dead Man’s return.

Later it was announced that The Undertaker will be returning to the ring at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Taker will team with Roman Reigns against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.

The 2019 WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view will take place on July 14 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. Below is the updated card:

The Undertaker Announced For Next Week’s WWE RAW

WWE has announced that The Undertaker will be returning on next Monday’s RAW from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

This will be the final RAW before WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, where Taker will face WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg for the first time. There’s no word yet on if Goldberg will be at RAW to help promote the match.

This will be Taker’s first WWE appearance since the post-WrestleMania 35 RAW from Brooklyn back in April. That show saw Taker destroy Elias in an in-ring segment.
