The Undertaker Surprises Stephanie McMahon At Wrestlepalooza With 2026 WWE Hall of Fame Announcement

The Undertaker surprised Stephanie McMahon announcing her as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026

At Wrestlepalooza on September 20, 2025, The Undertaker, sporting his “American Badass” persona, appeared at Wrestlepalooza on his motorcycle. The Undertaker pulled up ringside, taking a seat next to McMahon. The Undertaker and McMahon started riffing on their long-standing friendship. He asked McMahon, “Are you ready?” evoking the spirit of D-Generation X and her husband, Triple H. The Undertaker proceeded to announce that McMahon would be the first person inducted into next year’s Hall of Fame class.

McMahon has not worked for WWE in an official capacity since 2023, when it was announced she would be leaving her role as co-CEO of WWE as Vince McMahon returned to the fold and later negotiated the merger with Endeavor to create TKO. She has since appeared in sporadic appearances, mostly those of a broadcasting or guest attending role, though she started her “What’s Your Story?” podcast on ESPN+ in partnership with WWE and Fanatics earlier this year.

Stephanie McMahon’s ESPN+ Series “Stephanie’s Places” Set to Debut on March 26

Stephanie McMahon is stepping back into the WWE spotlight—but not in the boardroom. Instead, she’s set to launch her own interview series, Stephanie’s Places, which will premiere on ESPN+ on Wednesday, March 26. The ten-episode series is produced by Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, alongside ESPN and WWE, and will feature McMahon sitting down with some of the biggest names in wrestling history.

With Stephanie’s Places, McMahon will take a page out of Manning’s playbook, mirroring his Manning’s Places series by exploring the personal and professional journeys of WWE’s top stars in locations that hold significance for them.

“WWE has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember,” McMahon said. “I’m looking forward to having viewers join me as we visit some of the most iconic stars of past and present, in places of meaning for them, and hear how they overcame adversity to become who they are today.”

Star-Studded Lineup for Season One

The series will kick off with a blockbuster first episode, as Stephanie McMahon sits down with CM Punk in an interview recorded just before WWE SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland. Given Punk’s tumultuous history with WWE and his shocking return last year, this conversation is sure to turn heads.

Other major WWE names set to appear throughout the season include:

  • Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes
  • Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley
  • WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
  • Charlotte Flair
  • Roman Reigns and The Bloodline
  • Pat McAfee
  • The Undertaker
  • Triple H (McMahon’s husband and WWE’s Chief Content Officer)

The season finale, airing May 28, will be one of the most emotional episodes, as McMahon interviews John Cena. With Cena inching closer to retirement, the episode will serve as a reflection on his legendary career and his impact on WWE.

A Unique Look at WWE’s Biggest Names

While WWE programming is no stranger to documentaries and behind-the-scenes specials, Stephanie’s Places offers a fresh, intimate perspective. Rather than focusing solely on in-ring careers, McMahon’s series will explore personal struggles, triumphs, and the roads that led these superstars to where they are today.

With its mix of nostalgia, storytelling, and insight from some of the biggest names in wrestling, Stephanie’s Places is shaping up to be must-watch content for WWE fans.

Stephanie McMahon’s New WWE Project Revealed

Stephanie McMahon may no longer be an executive at WWE, but she’s far from disconnected from the company. Over the past year, she has made several high-profile appearances at WWE events, and now, a new report suggests she’s taking on an exciting project that will keep her involved with the brand in a fresh way.

A Return to the WWE Spotlight

Stephanie’s relationship with WWE has been a rollercoaster over the past few years. After stepping down from her executive position in early 2023 following Vince McMahon’s return to the Board of Directors, she has largely remained out of the corporate side of the business. However, she has still been present at key WWE events, including WrestleMania XL Night Two, the WWE RAW Netflix premiere, and the recent WWE Town Hall, where her husband, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, was announced as the headliner for the 2025 Hall of Fame class.

A WWE Version of Peyton’s Places

According to PWInsider, WWE used the Town Hall to highlight a new project involving Stephanie. The series is described as being similar to Peyton’s Places, the ESPN show where NFL legend Peyton Manning explores the cultural impact of the NFL through conversations with key figures from the sport’s history.

In WWE’s version, Stephanie will reportedly sit down with notable wrestling personalities to discuss the company’s legacy and influence. She has already filmed segments with Cody Rhodes, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and others. While details on the show’s platform and release date remain unclear, it could serve as a fascinating deep dive into WWE’s rich history, offering fans a new perspective from one of its most well-connected figures.

What’s Next for Stephanie?

While this project keeps Stephanie engaged with WWE, there’s no word on whether it signals a more permanent return to the company. For now, it looks like she’s embracing a role that blends her deep industry knowledge with her natural charisma in front of the camera.

As more details emerge about the show’s format and premiere date, it will be interesting to see how WWE utilizes Stephanie’s presence in the ongoing evolution of its brand. Could this be the first step toward a larger on-screen role? Only time will tell.

WWE Officials Are Hopeful To Bring Stephanie McMahon Back (Report)

Vince McMahon has resigned from TKO Group after new allegations of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and more.

Despite McMahon denying all of the allegations from the latest lawsuit, the fact remains that all of the women involved now and then were paid â€śhush money” payments to stay quiet.

According to a report from Pwinsider, WWE is hoping they can convince former executive Stephanie McMahon to return to the company. Stephanie departed WWE just days after her father weaseled his way back in last year.

In May 2022, Stephanie stepped down as Chief Brand Officer. She wound up returning after Vince was accused of sexual misconduct and he resigned for the first time. During that brief period of time, she operated as co-CEO with Nick Khan. Once her father returned, she decided to leave again in January 2023.

Latest News On Why Stephanie McMahon Resigned From WWE

Earlier this month, Stephanie McMahon stepped down as Chairwoman and co-CEO of WWE. The news came just days after her father, Vince McMahon, reinstated himself to WWE’s Board of Directors after retiring last summer amid multiple sexual misconduct allegations. More details have now emerged regarding Stephanie’s resignation.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Stephanie was “about to be demoted” following her father’s return, so she ultimately decided to completely step away from the company with the knowledge that she didn’t require the job — or its paycheck — moving forward. Of course, Stephanie began a sabbatical last year, but was brought back into the fold when the allegations against Vince were made public by the Wall Street Journal. Additionally, WON notes that her departure signaled “a lot stronger move,” instead of resuming her leave of absence and remaining on WWE’s Board.

Stephanie, who became a full-time employee of WWE after graduating from Boston University in 1998, posted a statement online revealing her resignation and clarified that she would still support WWE “from the other side of the business.” Meanwhile, her husband, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, remains in charge of WWE’s creative as Chief Content Officer, despite Vince’s comeback. Her father, now serving as Executive Chairman once again, is seeking out “strategic alternatives” for the promotion regarding upcoming U.S. media rights negotiations and a potential sale of the company. WWE has brought financial experts JP Morgan on board to assist the sale process, with several suitors reportedly interested in buying the organization, including Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

Ariel Helwani Shares His Thoughts On Stephanie McMahon’s WWE Exit

The recent return of Vince McMahon to WWE has had immediate ripple effects within the company. Few of these developments thus far are much bigger than the resignation of Stephanie McMahon from her executive duties on January 10. The departure comes after a hectic year for Stephanie, who announced a leave of absence last May only to return to an executive position two months later when her father initially announced his retirement.

The resignation of Stephanie may have sparked concerns regarding the company’s executive office moving forward, according to Bill Simmons and Ariel Helwani, who spoke about the subject on a recent episode of “The Bill Simmons Podcast.” When talking about the first event he went to following Vince’s departure, Helwani was quick to mention how beloved Stephanie was as a leader. “It was like these clouds had opened up,” Helwani recalled. “Everyone’s spirits are high, no one says a bad thing about Stephanie. It’s a remarkable thing, nobody speaks badly of her. Everyone seems to respect her tremendously.”

Helwani then mentioned that he fears that this departure will return the culture to what it was before Stephanie’s time as co-CEO alongside Nick Khan. However, Helwani does have faith in Khan and Paul Levesque, who are still working in the company’s executive office as of right now.

Returning to the subject of Stephanie McMahon, both Simmons and Helwani consider her resignation a “bad sign” for the company. “She’s so likable and respected,” Helwani complimented. “She is the quintessential businesswoman.” When speculating what might be next for Stephanie, Helwani believes that she has the potential to do more if she desires to. “If she decides to do something… imagine a media company run by [Stephanie]. I feel like she’d be successful in whatever she does.”

Stephanie McMahon Undergoes Surgery And Begins Rehab

Earlier this week, Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation as co-CEO and Chairwoman of WWE. Now, just a few short days later, McMahon is seemingly putting her newly-acquired free time to good use in order to deal with a health issue.

In a post shared on social media, she disclosed that her week involved getting ankle surgery, writing, “Busy week! Thank you Dr. Waldrop, @AndrewsSportMed and the Orthopaedic Center Staff for fixing my ankle! And to Kevin Wilk @ChampionSportsM for already getting me started on rehab! (And of course to my amazing caregiver @TripleH) #RoadtoRecovery.” Additionally, she shared a photo of herself waving from a hospital bed while also attaching a picture of her right leg wrapped in a cast. The extent of her ankle injury was not disclosed.

Plenty of well-wishes came pouring in, with current “NXT” Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston, in particular, understanding her current plight. “He fixed my ankle, too! You are [in] great hands! Godspeed on your recovery!”

McMahon’s resignation followed soon after her father, Vince McMahon, reinstated himself to WWE’s Board, along with former WWE executives George Barrios and Michelle Wilson. McMahon had initially stepped away from the company in May 2022 to take a leave of absence. However, her sabbatical was cut short when she was abruptly thrust back into action and named interim Chairwoman and CEO of WWE amid sexual misconduct allegations involving her dad that prompted him to step aside and retire. Within two months, the interim label was off, and she had officially been appointed Chairwoman and Co-CEO, sharing the latter duties with Nick Khan.

Stephanie McMahon & Triple H Reportedly Oppose Sale Of WWE

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are reportedly against a sale of WWE.

It was announced on Tuesday that Stephanie submitted her resignation from WWE after her father, Vince McMahon, was unanimously re-elected as Executive Chairman to the company’s Board of Directors.

According to a report from Axios, there was some serious opposition from Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and others on a potential sale of WWE.

The report notes that Stephanie and Triple H “had opposed a sale,” with some believing Stephanie’s resignation had to do with her father taking charge of the company. While Stephanie and Triple H won’t comment publicly, it’s said that they are both fuming in private.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Endeavor, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, Netflix, Shahid and Tony Khan, and others are interested in purchasing the company.

Vince McMahon & Stephanie McMahon Had Issues Working Together In WWE

Earlier this week, Stephanie McMahon resigned from WWE, just days after her father, Vince, had returned to the company. Reportedly, the two did not work great together.

Vince made his WWE return by bringing two new Board Of Directors members with him and removing three from the WWE Board. This was done to make room for himself and the two new Board members.

Stephanie resigned from all positions on top of this, meaning WWE Board has quickly changed pretty drastically.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Stephanie and Vince have had some issues working together:

“It was also conceded that she and Vince did have issues in working together as family members and how Khan was a buffer who kept things smooth between them as well as between Vince and Levesque.”

Vince’s main reason for coming back to WWE is said to be because he plans to spearhead a WWE sale. Stephanie and Paul Levesque (Triple H) reportedly had opposed a sale.

WWE SEC Filing Clarifies Stephanie McMahon Resignation Timeline

Stephanie McMahon made waves through the professional wrestling world on Tuesday when she announced that she had stepped down from her post as Co-CEO of WWE following the reinstatement of Vince McMahon as Executive Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

A report filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 11 has now helped to shed some light on the timeline of how the events went down, stating that Vince had been elected as Executive Chairman on January 9 while Stephanie was still a member of the board. Following the reinstatement, Stephanie “ceased to be Chairwoman of the Board” and handed in her resignation the following day, which led to Nick Khan “[assuming] the role of sole Chief Executive Officer of the company.”

The SEC report also noted that Michelle McKenna, Steve Koonin, and Steve Pamon were the current individuals that made up the Audit Committee, the Governance and Nominating Committee, and the Compensation and Human Capital Committee. McKenna and Koonin were selected by the Board to serve on the Audit Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee on the same day McMahon was reinstated while McKenna and Pamon were also chosen to serve on the Compensation and Human Capital Committee. Pamon, Koonin, and McKenna have been members of the Board since September 1, 2020, June 1, 2021, and September 16, 2022, respectively.

Stephanie was named Co-CEO of WWE and Co-Chair of the Board (alongside Khan) in July of last year after Vince announced his retirement following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment.
