PWInsider reports that there was talk backstage Monday at RAW in Dallas that one or two spots in Sunday’s 30-Man Royal Rumble Match could be given to current NXT Superstars.

Triple H Threatens Sting, Talks Returning Fired Superstars, Lesnar & Rollins, Royal Rumble Match
In the latest Michael Cole sitdown interview with Triple H – Triple H said Sting is becoming a problem for him and if Sting wants to make a name for himself by coming after The Game, he’s making the biggest mistake in his life. Triple H says the next time Sting puts his nose in his business will be the last time Sting does anything.
Triple H confirmed that Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan will be on SmackDown this Thursday and that they will get what they deserve.
Triple H said Brock Lesnar seemed nervous on RAW and believes that Seth Rollins got under Lesnar’s skin. Triple H also talked about the Royal Rumble Match.
Daniel Bryan Makes Huge Royal Rumble Announcement (video)
Daniel Bryan announced on RAW that he is ready to return to the WWE ring and he will be in the 2015 Royal Rumble.
Chris Jericho Returning At Royal Rumble?
Will Chris Jericho be returning to WWE at the 2015 Royal Rumble? Jericho is being advertised for a January 24th WWE Supershow at the Izod Center in New Jersey, which is the night before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Roman Reigns is also advertised for this show.

Mick Foley Had Some Harsh Words About The Royal Rumble
Mick Foley had some really bad things to say about the Royal Rumble pay-per-view last night on Twitter. Here is one of his tweets from last night.

Kickoff Match: WWE Tag Team championship: The New Age Outlaws def. Cody Rhodes & Goldust to become WWE Tag Team Champions for the 6th time.
Bray Wyatt def. Daniel Bryan:
Brock Lesnar def. Big Show:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. John Cena: The Wyatt Family distracted Cena costing him the title. After the match, Bray Wyatt proclaimed his clan “the creators of the new world” before putting Cena to sleep with Sister Abigail.
Batista won the Royal Rumble Match: There was some surprise entrants in the match. There was Sheamus, Kevin Nash, Kane, JBL, Alexander Rusev & El Torito. CM Punk, Batista, Sheamus & Roman Reigns was the final 4 in the match. Kane came back out & pulled Punk out & chokeslammed him through the Spanish announce table. Reigns eliminated Sheamus. Reigns eliminated 12 Superstars & broke Kane’s 13-year-old record for the most competitors eliminated in a single Royal Rumble Match. Batista eliminated Reigns to win the Royal Rumble Match.
The fans were upset that Daniel Bryan wasn’t in the Royal Rumble Match & that Batista won it. Batista wasn’t happy that the fans booed him & he mocked Daniel Bryan & flipped off the fans. The fans also booed for most of the Orton/Cena match too. Mick Foley had some bad things to say about the pay-per-view as well.
Ed’s Perspective : It’s Time To Rumble
Without a doubt, The Royal Rumble is my favorite match each year.
As I put together the information in this post, I did one thing very intentional, and that was not look at any of the so called experts and their predictions.
This is a DTRT exclusive article with most of the factual information coming from WWE.com.
Beginning in 1988, on national TV and not PPV, the brainchild of WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson had it’s debut.
Since then, 753 entrants have taken part in what this year will be the 27th annual event. An amazing 455,107 fans have attended the previous Rumbles.
I can’t speak for the other 455,106, but I had an awesome time watching Sheamus win the 2012 version live in St. Louis.
A couple of other interesting bits of Rumble history: HBK has a record 39 eliminations. That is followed closely by Kane with 37 eliminations in his 14 different Rumble matches, and an amazing 11 in 2001 match alone.
For the CM Punk fans who might be depressed by his #1 slot, Rey Mysterio lasted an astonishing 62 minutes and 12 seconds and HBK won the 1995 Rumble from the #1 position.

I say Batista only because of his current WWE deal puts him in a position to be in the spotlight. Do I think he deserves it? No, he came in last week and now most likely to main event Wrestlemania. This is one time I really hope my prediction is wrong.
Ed – Roman Reigns
All indications point to Batista, so I’m hoping that the creative minds go with someone who has earned the shot to headline Wrestlemania 30.
Sheamus & Chris Jericho Will Be In The Host City Of The Royal Rumble This Weekend
This weekend, both Sheamus & Chris Jericho will be in Pittsburg, PA, which is the host city for Sunday’s Royal Rumble. They are appearing at the World of Wheels Auto Show. Sheamus will be there tonight from 6pm-8pm & Jerich will be there on Saturday from 12pm-3pm.
Will they be entering the Royal Rumble Match? I guess we will find out Sunday.
