WWE announce this morning that Seth Rollins is off weekend live events. They posted the following this morning, noting that an update will be available on RAW:
UPDATE: The full extent of Seth Rollins’ injury remains unknown, but WWE.com can confirm that the former WWE Champion has not been cleared to compete at WWE Live Events this weekend. A full medical update will be given this Monday night on Raw.
Seth Rollins’ right knee was reinjured during Samoa Joe’s ambush at the conclusion of this Monday’s Raw, WWE.com can now confirm. The attack occurred as Rollins was heading to the ring to finally confront Triple H, who cost The Architect a WWE Universal Championship opportunity back in August.
As noted, Rollins has reportedly suffered a torn MCL in the brawl with Samoa Joe on RAW and is expected to be out of action for around 8 weeks.
WWE is reporting that Seth Rollins re-injured his right knee during the closing segment of this past Monday’s RAW during Samoa Joe’s attack. It was noted that Rollins will be evaluated later this week.
PWInsider confirmed that the injury is not a storyline, and Rollins is currently in Birmingham, Alabama to get examined. Once he’s examined, it will be more clear how serious the injury is and if it will force him to miss WrestleMania 33. Rollins was scheduled to be in one of the featured bouts on the card against Triple H.
While not confirmed, Rollins did appear to fall awkwardly when being taken down by Joe in the Coquina Clutch, as seen in the video at the 3:20 mark.
Rollins was forced to miss 6 months of action after tearing the ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus in his knee during a match with Kane at a WWE live event in November of 2015. The then-WWE World Heavyweight Champion was forced to vacate his title, and missed last year’s WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view.

Rollins is in Birmingham, Alabama today to be examined but there’s no word yet on when he will be back in action.

Last night on WWE RAW, Samoa Joe made his long-awaited debut, attacking Seth Rollins.
In case you missed it, Rollins made a surprise appearance at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio on Saturday to call out Triple H, and last night on Raw, Rollins had a face-to-face meeting with Stephanie in which Rollins called Triple H a gutless snake. Stephanie told Rollins that Triple H is on his way to RAW.
At the end of the show, Triple H came out and went over the history between him and Rollins. Triple H called Rollins out saying you met your creator, now come met your destroyer. Rollins came out, and was attacked by Samoa Joe, Triple H walked to the back as Joe annihilated Rollins and choked him out a Coquina Clutch.
Tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW takes place from the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas and will feature the fallout from last night’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Last night Raw ended with an intense face-off between Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, giving viewers one final tease before they all compete in the Royal Rumble.
It all went down during the closing segment when Goldberg declared he would be the victor of the Rumble match and Paul Heyman interrupted to bring out his Beast of a client.
Just as it looked as Golberg and Lesnar were about to fight, the gong struck, the lights went out and Taker was standing in the ring with them. They stared each other down as the show went off the air.

Tonight’s WWE RAW is in Cleveland, Ohio with the final hype for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Brock Lesnar and Goldberg will both be appearing on tonight’s RAW. It is the first time that both men will be appearing live on the same show since last November’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Last night on RAW Shawn Michaels appeared on RAW to promote the new Christian comedy-drama film that he stars in – “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone.” The film is directed by Dallas Jenkins and also stars Brett Dalton, Anjelah Johnson, Neil Flynn, and D.B. Sweeney. The film is out in theaters on January 20th.
About the film – When a former child star is forced to do community service at a local church, he pretends to be Christian so he can land the part of Jesus in the church’s production, only to discover that the most important role of his life is far from Hollywood.
Also on RAW, Michaels was in the corner of Big Cass in his match against Jinder Mahal. Michaels on the outside hit Rusev with some Sweet Chin Music.
