WWE Announces Injury To Ivar From Last Night’s RAW

WWE has confirmed that Ivar of The Viking Raiders suffered an injury during last night’s RAW episode on the USA Network

As noted, Ivar hit a suicide dive on three members of The Hurt Business during the eight-man match that saw MVP, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin and WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley defeat Ivar, Erik, Ricochet and Apollo Crews. He immediately threw up the “X” symbol to call for help.

WWE issued a post-RAW announcement and confirmed that Ivar suffered a cervical injury while doing the dive. It was noted that he was taken to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. For what it’s worth, PWInsider reported that word going at RAW was that Ivar likely suffered a stinger on the dive.

Stay tuned for updates on Ivar. For those who missed it, below is the original video of Ivar throwing up the dreaded “X” symbol after the suicide dive, along with WWE’s full announcement on the injury:

WWE has only announced Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins for tonight’s show. It looks like this will be the main event of the show, and could be the end of the Rollins vs. Mysterio feud. This match comes after Rey and Dominik Mysterio defeated Rollins and Murphy at Payback last night.

Will RETRIBUTION appears on tonight’s show. They did not appear on SmackDown or Payback.

WWE Comments On Virtual Audience Member Who Displayed KKK Imagery In ThunderDome

WWE says they are working to ban a virtual audience member from future events who could be seen in the closing moments of Raw displaying what appeared to be KKK imagery on their screen.

In case you didn’t notice, one of the screens near the front row in the ThunderDome last night showed a man who appeared to be wearing a KKK robe waving a confederate flag. This occurred right before, as well as during, the attack from RETRIBUTION on Dominick and Rey Mysterio.

When reached for comment on the matter, WWE sent us the following statement.

“This abhorrent behavior does not reflect WWE‘s values and we have zero tolerance for these unacceptable acts. We are working to ban those involved from future events and per our policies, any inappropriate actions result in the removal from the live stream.”

It’s worth noting that the company is dealing with thousands of fans coming through the experience at the same time and one source tells us the offender was immediately removed from the broadcast after being caught.

there were also images of Chris Benoit and Super Mario that fans were able to get into ThunderDome seats for last night’s show
