Are WWE’s #Hatch Teaser & Bray Wyatt’s Cryptic Abigail Teaser Related?

As noted over the weekend Bray Wyatt posted a cryptic tweet about his much talked about Sister Abigail. Then WWE posted some tweets teasing about something being revealed on tonight’s RAW with the #Hatch.

I have a feeling that these could be related. Tune into RAW tonight to find out if I’m correct, that we will see the return of The Wyatt Family and the long awaited  appearance of Sister Abigail. And if this is what the WWE #Hatch teaser was all about.

WWE Posts ‘Hatch’ Teaser For Tonight’s RAW – New Debut?

Source: WhatCulture

Professional wrestling loves itself a good tease and reveal, and the latest move into such tropes from WWE has been the ‘Hatch’ saga.

To cut a short story shorter, WWE has taken to Twitter recently to post some vague and difficult to truly make out pictures of a door of some kind, a ‘hatch’ if you will, accompanied by a cryptic message.

Well, the latest tweet has come and with it comes a date. Along with another ‘mysterious picture’, WWE tweeted the message ‘Extracting. 30/5/16. #Hatch’. Well, today just so happens to be 30/5/16, and tonight just so happens to be Monday Night RAW, so it doesn’t take a genius to work out that something be hatching tonight.

Whatever will it be? Speculating tends to be a little more exciting than the eventual reveal, so we should enjoy these next few hours before it turns out to be Hornswoggle or something. Is it the return of the Shockmaster? Could ‘hatch’ mean something is indeed literally ‘hatching’? That Gobbledy Gooker hasn’t been seen in a while has he?

Either way, tune into Monday Night RAW tonight to find out.

Backstage WWE Brand Split Updates

Source: WrestlingINC

Regarding the WWE brand split and SmackDown going live beginning Tuesday, July 19th, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the belief is that one show will feature Shane McMahon in charge and one show will have Stephanie McMahon in charge, perhaps RAW. It’s also believed that while Vince McMahon and Triple H will continue running creative, current RAW and SmackDown head writers Ed Koskey and Ryan Ward will end up with more power since the creative writing teams will have more control and won’t have to constantly work together on ideas.

We noted yesterday that it was already being rumored that the WWE Women’s Title would be exclusive to one show. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the tentative plan is for the women’s division to be on both brands but the exclusive talk is there. The Women’s Champion would be the only person to appear on both brands, with the exception of whoever the singles champion is. It was also noted that they are still looking at doing two world titles again but that is not a lock and they could end up with just one top champion. The WWE Tag Team Titles are also still up in the air but everyone is still saying that the United States Title will be on one show while the Intercontinental Title will be on the other. There’s been talk of having two sets of tag champions or one set that would work both shows.

The WWE Draft is still rumored for July 11th in Detroit but not a lock. There are people in WWE campaigning for a hard split of the rosters while others want a soft spit with top stars making guest appearances on the other shows, allowing for more unique top matches on TV or pay-per-view events.

The Observer also reported internal belief is that John Cena will be the main star on SmackDown while Roman Reigns will be the top star for RAW. There’s still no word on what will happen with several top stars, including Brock Lesnar. It’s believed Lesnar will end up on RAW when he returns for SummerSlam hype but word is that even his brand is not a lock at this point.

As noted, everything is still up in the air and one guarantee is that many plans will change over the next month or so. WWE is officially saying that all the big questions will be answered in the next few weeks.

It’s Club-bering time! Technically, The Club hasn’t won a match yet. But technically, that doesn’t matter since Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson demolished The Usos on both Raw and SmackDown, while AJ Styles held WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to a draw in a standoff over a steel chair. With Extreme Rules approaching fast, Reigns is in need of a dominant display and, with Styles’ friends officially at his back, doing so is now easier said than done.

The New Day might need some extra P.O.P. to gain ground on The Vaudevillains.

Becky Lynch may be in need of a tag partner against Emma & Dana Brooke.

Lights Out! With all the beatings Chris Jericho has given Dean Ambrose lately, it’s difficult to remember that “The Best in the World at What He Does” is coming off a loss to The Lunatic Fringe. Defeat hasn’t humbled Jericho one bit, and he’s since bestowed “The Gift of Jericho” on Ambrose by trapping him in a straitjacket in retaliation for the destruction of his own light-up leather coat. Ambrose, for all his frothing rage, has yet to hand Jericho a truly definitive setback, and that’ll be tough now that Jericho seems to have his number. The sky seems to be the limit for “The Best in the World at What He Does,” provided, of course, Big Cass doesn’t come calling again …

WWE Fans May Be Able To Watch RAW And SmackDown Live Online Soon

It was revealed this week that Hulu will introduce a live TV service in 2017, which would allow users to watch live and on-demand programming. While no price has been revealed for the service, a Hulu executive told The Wall Street Journal that $40 / month is “in the ballpark.”

Variety revealed this week that NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast and has a silent ownership partner in Hulu, is in talks to join the service. NBCUniversal’s cable channels include the USA Network, the home of WWE RAW and SmackDown. Their other channels include Syfy, Bravo, E!, MSNBC, CNBC, and Oxygen in addition to the NBC broadcast network.

Variety noted that Hulu and NBCUniversal “are in the early stages of active negotiations,” and that Hulu had approached NBCU about possibly partnering on the service. Hulu is already in talks with Fox and Disney to join the service.
