Raw Five-Point Preview: Oct. 1, 2012 With an Update

 Source: WWE.com

This update was announced after the original Five-Point Preview was posted:

Live on Raw tonight (8/7 CT on USA), SmackDown General Manager Booker T will moderate a RAWActive World Championship debate announcement between World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and No. 1 contender Big Show at WWE Hell in a Cell, and members of the WWE Universe are invited to be part of the ceremony!

Booker T has called upon members of the WWE Universe to tweet and Tout questions for both the champion and challenger — several of which will be selected and posed to the Superstars on-air tonight! According to Booker T, fans can submit their RAWActive inquiries using the hashtag #SheamusShow.

The World’s Largest Athlete won the right to face Sheamus at WWE Hell in a Cell Oct. 28 after defeating Randy Orton on Friday’s SmackDown. What will happen tonight when two of WWE’s most dominant super-heavyweights stand within feet of one another? How will they respond to the WWE Universe’s assuredly provocative inquiries?

With an injured John Cena vehemently declaring he will be at Hell in a Cell, and WWE Champion CM Punk now finding himself in Ryback’s sights, what will happen on Monday’s Raw? Here are five key things to look for as the month of October rolls in with Raw episode 1,010.

What will Ryback do next?

When WWE Champion CM Punk was still feeling the effects of being whacked with a lead pipe by John Cena, he took out his frustrations on Mick Foley. But before he could inflict more suffering on the WWE Legend, he was confronted by the hungry Ryback — a beast who has normally crushed every Superstar who has crossed his path. The stare-down lasted only moments before Raw went off the air.

How will the WWE Champion respond to this blatant challenge? Will Ryback come looking for more of Punk? Is a match between the two only a matter of time? (VOTE NOW)

Will AJ have an answer to Heyman’s wedding proposal?

To most men, getting slapped in the face after asking a woman to marry you is a clear “no.” But will Paul Heyman take AJ Lee’s slap to the face as a “no” to his marriage proposal? Just how determined is he in pursuing her?

As for AJ, technically she didn’t say “no.” Could she possibly be mulling over Heyman’s offer? Certainly, they’d make quite the power couple.

Is Big Show done making a statement?

Well, that didn’t take long. On Raw, Big Show returned and decimated big Brodus Clay and Tensai. On SmackDown, he knocked out Randy Orton to become the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship.

With his sights now set on World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, what will The World’s Largest Athlete do next? Will he be content knowing it’s only a matter of time before he challenges for the World Title? Will he continue to destroy any and all who stand in his way?

Is Team Hell No’s time running out?

Last week on Raw, the newly formed Team Rhodes Scholars attacked the WWE Tag Team Champions, Team Hell No. (WATCH) Then in a Tag Team Tournament that kicked off on SmackDown, Team Rhodes Scholars found themselves firmly in the championship hunt after claiming the first victory in the ongoing tournament.

Considering their anger issues, is Team Hell No’s time at the top ticking? Will Dr. Shelby’s treatment help them stick together? With a target now on their backs, how will the WWE Tag Team Champions respond?

Will Punk be looking for payback against Cena?

After John Cena was attacked once already by WWE Champion CM Punk earlier this month in a Falls Count Anywhere Match against Alberto Del Rio (WATCH), Cena came prepared last week, wielding a lead pipe … and he didn’t hesitate to use it against the WWE Champion.

Cena has already declared he will be at Hell in a Cell. But, is he only engaging in wishful thinking? Will he be ready to compete at Hell in a Cell? How will Punk respond to last week’s vicious attack?

Raw Five-Point Preview: Sept. 24, 2012

Direct from WWE.com

And you thought CM Punk was mad before? No, no, no, that was a warm-up, a preview, an aperitif, if you will, of the fury that’s sure to spew forth from The Second City Saint following his controversial defeat at the hands of John Cena last week on Raw. In case you’ve forgotten, The Straight Edge Superstar was pinned by the Cenation leader despite the fact that Punk had his foot on the ropes, a seemingly egregious oversight by the referee who officiated the contest. As Raw went off the air, Punk was berating the ref all the way back to the locker room on TV and WWE.com (WATCH), and speculation has been running rampant as to how the WWE Champion will respond to the controversy this week.

Oh also, Kane & Daniel Bryan will be in the house. Admit it, you’re excited. Here are five things to look forward to on Raw.

Prime Time payback

The Prime Time Players didn’t exactly mince words last week on Raw when they laid out Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara, took hold of the microphone, and declared they would never have championship opportunities “taken” from them ever again. From then on, the Players vowed, they would take what they want. This, needless to say, is an ominous sign for a tag team division that is suddenly motivated doubly to take the Tag Titles from the odd-couple duo that came out of nowhere to claim them. How will The Prime Time Players put their plan into motion? And speaking of which …

Friends 4-Ever

OK, so Kane and Daniel Bryan can’t quite seem to stop costing each other singles matches. But anger management must be working, because the two were in perfect sync last Friday on SmackDown when they made beautiful music with a pair of steel chairs to end out the show. And they group-hugged Edge. (WATCH) We’d talk about how they plan to go about keeping their Tag Team Championships safe from the likes of The Prime Time Players and Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara, but in complete honesty? We just want to see what they do next.

Feed him more … couches

So, Ryback threw a couch last week. A COUCH. And while frankly we could spend the next week happily watching him haul heavy furniture with the greatest of ease, we’re relatively sure the intended recipient of the leathery projectile — Intercontinental Champion The Miz — won’t be too happy about it. Remember, Ryback interrupted the debut of “Miz TV” before he went all Arnold Strongman Classic on the furniture. Miz hates being upstaged, and we’re pretty sure he’ll have words for the big man come Monday.

Who’s next for Punk?

The WWE Universe likely expected to see another row between Punk and John Cena at some point this week, but following Cena’s orthoscopic surgery Tuesday to remove bone chips from his elbow, it’s unlikely the Cenation leader will be mixing it up in the ring anytime soon. And although Cena made it clear that he will be at Raw this week, it’s looking like The Second City Saint will have to find himself another opponent for the evening. Which brings us to …

Official’s statement

Hoo boy, is CM Punk gonna be mad on Monday. Superstars, Hall of Famers and officials alike haven’t been able to escape the wide-cast net of rage from Punk or his manager/buddy/mouthpiece/who-knows-we’re-still-not-entirely-sure-what Paul Heyman. The mad scientist of Extreme also isn’t above parading out one of the zebras for some magnanimous gloating over a decision that favored Punk (see: Patton, Chad). We’re pretty sure the poor sap from last week who counted Punk to the mat is gonna have some hell to pay when he’s in the ring with the WWE Champion. See you guys at 8/7 CT for all the mayhem.

Raw Five-Point Preview: August 27, 2012

As summer winds down, WWE finds itself facing more questions than ever before. What, exactly, is WWE Champion CM Punk planning next following his controversial attack of Jerry “The King” Lawler last Monday on Raw? Will he, in fact, take up on John Cena’s offer for a title match at Night of Champions in Cena’s hometown of Boston? And what will Triple H have to say when the vanquished King of Kings makes his first public appearance since losing to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam?

Here are five things to watch out for on this week’s Raw.

  1. Long live the king?

  2. What’s next for Ziggler?

  3. Give a moment or two to the angry young man

  4. Schemin’ Eve

  5. Do ya feel lucky, Punk?
