Source: WrestlingINC

King Barrett has reportedly given notice to WWE officials that he will not be re-signing with the company when his current contract expires in June, according to a report on ProWrestlingSheet.

Barrett is said to be unhappy with his position in the company. Barrett has been out of the ring with a nerve injury in his neck and has been accompanying the League of Nations to the ring while he’s not cleared.

Barrett took to Twitter after Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings and thanked his supporters. He also said he will comment further at a more appropriate time but is 100% focused on doing his job for WWE right now.

King Barrett Injury & Return Update

King Barrett noted on Twitter that he was rehabbing a little nerve damage in his neck, but it’s nothing major.

Barrett will return to WWE TV tonight on SmackDown.

King Barrett Injured?

If you was wondering why King Barrett was absent on the WWE TLC pay-per-view when the League of Nation did a run-in during the WWE World Heavyweight Championship TLC Match after appearing on the TLC pre-show and was nowhere to be seen last night on RAW, it’s because apparently he is injured. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Barrett is injured and it likely occurred before the TLC pre-show.

How Barrett was injured and the severity of his injury is still yet not known, there should be more details coming later.

Barrett last wrestled at last week’s Tribute to the Troops taping, where he teamed with Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Rusev & The Wyatt Family against Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, The Dudley Boyz, The Usos, Ryback & Kane.

WWE Writes King Barrett Off TV?

On Monday’s RAW, King Barrett’s partner Stardust attacked him and it appears that this was WWE’s way of Writing Barrett off of TV for the time being.

Barrett has changed his Twitter name from Wade Barrett to his real name – Stu Bennett.

Barrett confirmed last week that he will begin filming WWE Studios action-thriller “Eliminators” in September. He wrote on Twitter that he is on his way back home to the UK.
