John Cena Will Be On Christmas Edition Of RAW

John Cena will be returning to action during Christmas week. Despite joining Team SmackDown at the Survivor Series last month, it appears that for television, he’ll be on RAW. Cena was added to the Christmas edition of Monday Night RAW in Chicago from the Allstate Arena. Cena will start working live events the following night, facing Roman Reigns at Madison Square Garden, followed by the rest of the week’s RAW live events before finishing up the week by working the SmackDown live event on Saturday, December 30th in Tampa, FL. Cena is currently not advertised for any shows in 2018.

John Cena Reportedly Sued By Ford

According to TMZ Sports, Ford is reportedly suing John Cena for selling his $500,000 2017 Ford GT, which violated a contract with the car company. Cena was picked from thousands of applicants to be able to purchase the vehicle, but also agreed to keep the car for at least two years, before being allowed to sell it. Initially, only 500 of these were made by Ford. In a statement, Ford claimed:

“Mr. Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale.”

According to the suit, Cena did tell the company he sold the car – along with other property – for financial reasons. Ford is looking for Cena to return profits from the sale along with other damages. The WWE Superstar is currently promoting the animated movie, Ferdinand, in Dubai after doing promotional work in Australia, earlier this week.

John Cena Confirmed For Team SmackDown At WWE Survivor Series

WWE confirmed today that John Cena will be the fifth and final member of Team SmackDown at The Survivor Series:

It is Cena’s first match since losing to Roman Reigns at WWE No Mercy in late September. Cena had been rumored to be the special referee for the Jinder Mahal vs. Brock Lesnar match at the pay-per-view, but those plans apparently changed after WWE had Mahal drop the WWE Championship to AJ Styles on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live.

John Cena On If He’s Retiring Following WWE No Mercy Loss

John Cena’s post-match actions after losing to Roman Reigns at WWE No Mercy had a lot of fans speculating on his WWE future. Several WWE Superstars even tweeted “thank you Cena” and wrote about respecting Cena, which added to the speculation. The official WWE Universe Twitter also used the “#ThankYouCena” hashtag in a post.

Below is video from Cena’s appearance on RAW Talk after the pay-per-view went off the air.

When asked by WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler if he’s retiring, Cena says he just thinks his role in WWE is different now. Regardless of outside opportunities or not, he’s 40 years old and has had 15 elite years in WWE. Cena says he doesn’t know how much longer he can keep it up but he needs to know when to say when.

Cena says he is not done but he’s not sure if he can keep going at the pace he has been going at, and that’s a major thing he needs to consider. Cena goes on about how he lives WWE and says he will become like a “weird Batman character” that comes running when they shine the light.

Potential Date John Cena Comes To Raw?

“Free Agent” John Cena is expected to be working on Raw in the near future as he’s being advertised on the brand’s upcoming No Mercy PPV on September 24. The Barclays Center tweeted out that Cena is scheduled to appear on the Raw after SummerSlam on August 21.

Vince McMahon Reportedly Furious With Shinsuke Nakamura For Dropping John Cena On His Head

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard reports today that Vince McMahon was furious with Shinsuke Nakamura for dropping John Cena on his head and neck when he hit him with the Reverse Exploder near the end of their main event match on SmackDown LIVE last week.

Luckily for Cena, he did not suffer a serious injury. SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan announced on last night’s show that Cena will face Baron Corbin at SummerSlam on August 20.

According to Barrasso, McMahon’s anger was more in defense of Cena than an indictment of Nakamura since the WWE Chairman & CEO has not lost faith in him. However, if Nakamura makes another mistake like that again, McMahon will have an entirely different opinion of him.

McMahon might be the only one upset with Nakamura for the botched spot. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reported last week that people backstage saw the error as a fluke. Cena himself did not seem upset about it either. Nakamura immediately apologized to Cena after the match, to which Cena replied, “Don’t be sorry.”

John Cena Cast In Transformers ‘Bumblebee’ Spinoff

The Decepticons are about to get an attitude adjustment … because John Cena has been cast as a lead in the upcoming Transformers spinoff.

THR reports that the sixteen time world champion is set to appear in the Bumblebee movie, which will be directed by Travis Knight and also star Hailee Steinfeld.

No word on Cena’s role, but the film will take place in 1987 and the synopsis explains: “Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary yellow VW bug.”

Bumblebee is set to release on December 21, 2018.

WWE Clears Up “Free Agent” Confusion Regarding John Cena Return

WWE.com is featuring an article regarding John Cena returning to Smackdown Live in a few weeks on July 4 and the confusion regarding his “free agent” status.

If you recall, WWE released a video promo earlier this week promoting Cena’s return on July 4 and listed him as a “free agent” at the end of the clip.

According to the WWE article, Cena became a free agent following the Superstar Shake Up that took place after WrestleMania 33. Cena has been off television since proposing to Nikki Bella t at WrestleMania this past April in Orlando.

The article does tease the possibility of Cena either staying with Smackdown Live or possibly making the jump to RAW going forward. Either way, it would be appear to clear up a lot of confusion regarding the promotion by WWE in the last week.
