john cena elimination chamber fan 5 year old loss

Ex-WWE champ John Cena didn’t wallow in defeat after losing the title at Elimination Chamber, instead he took time to cheer up a fan of his who had been in tears over what happened.

The fan’s mom shared the moment on social media saying, “Tonight, I witnessed pure heartbreak in my daughter’s eyes when she watched John Cena lose at The Elimination Chamber. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She was so disappointed, and all she could manage to say was ‘No.’”

As the family was leaving the show through the backstage area, they happened to run into Cena and ask for a photo. The mother then explained how sad her daughter had been over the loss.

She continues, “He looked her in the eye and said ‘It’s ok. Sometimes we don’t win. But that just shows me that I gotta keep fighting. I will get a rematch. You remember that, ok? Never give up. Never lose hope. Keep fighting.’ And then we caught this moment.”

Thank 👏🏼  you 👏🏼  Cena 👏🏼  for  👏🏼  being  👏🏼  awesome.

WWE Elimination Chamber & Fastlane Changes

We noted before via The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the February 12th WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view from Phoenix was to be a RAW-exclusive event but that changes to the 2017 pay-per-view schedule were reportedly in the works. In an update, it was noted on F4Wonline.com today that Elimination Chamber is now tentatively scheduled to be a SmackDown show. The March 5th Fastlane pay-per-view from Milwaukee was scheduled to be a SmackDown show but that is now tentatively a RAW event.

Which Brand Gets The WWE Elimination Chamber Event?, More News On 2017 WWE PPV Plans

As noted, the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix announced this week that they will be hosting the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in 2017. No other details were provided but word now is that it will be a RAW-exclusive event on February 12th.

SmackDown will then have their Fastlane pay-per-view on March 5th from the BMO Harris Bank Center in Milwaukee.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that they were given a list of 18 planned pay-per-view dates for 2017. The last number WWE publicized was 19. There was serious talk of cutting back to 16 events in 2017, which would mean changes to the current plans.

The original plan was for Extreme Rules and Money In the Bank to be exclusive to SmackDown. The changes in plans may or may not effect those two shows but the information for Elimination Chamber and Fastlane has been confirmed.

WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View Returning

The WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will be returning in 2017. While the date has not been confirmed, the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona confirmed on Facebook that the event will take place in 2017 from the arena.

WWE Elimination Chamber was created in 2010, and took place annually in February between The Royal Rumble and WrestleMania until 2014. It usually featured a Chamber match with world title implications at WrestleMania. The event last took place in 2015 as a Network special and featured two Chamber matches; a tag team Elimination Chamber match and an Intercontinental championship Chamber bout.

WWE Bringing Back The Elimination Chamber PPV?

Image result for elimination chamber 2017

WrestleMania kicks into full gear at the Royal Rumble but the road to WrestleMania will include a returning pay-per-view. The Elimination Chamber is scheduled to return in February. There’s no word yet on if this will be a Raw or Smackdown-branded show but if you follow the list of alternating Raw/Smackdown pay-per-views, it would seem that the Chamber show will be a Smackdown-branded show. The last Raw-branded show before the Royal Rumble is the Roadblock PPV in December so Elimination Chamber will probably be a Smackdown show and Fastlane will probably be a Raw-branded show. The last Elimination Chamber show took place on May 31, 2015, in Corpus Christi, TX. It was actually a show that was put together at the last minute for the WWE Network. That date was originally scheduled to be a regular live event.

The show was dropped at one point because of logistical issues with some arenas because it’s tough to hang a 10-ton structure with large scoreboards above the ring area. WWE had always been open to bringing back the concept if they could book the show in an arena that could accommodate them.

WWE announced on Sunday that WWE Fastlane will be taking place on March 2, 2017, in Milwaukee’s BMOP Harris Bradley Center.
As of now, these are the pay-per-views scheduled through September 2017:

Royal Rumble (January)
Elimination Chamber (February)
Fastlane (March)
WrestleMania (April)
Payback (April or May)
Extreme Rules (May)
Money In The Bank (June)
Battleground (July)
SummerSlam (August)
Clash Of Champions (September)

More shows will be added since they need 2 shows on most months.
