It looks like WWE Hall of Famer Booker T could be returning to WWE commentary on Monday’s RAW from St. Louis.

As seen in the video below, Booker spoke with co-host Brad Gilmore on Houston radio this week and made the announcement when asked about a possible return.

Booker has been off regular RAW commentary since Jonathan Coachman was brought back in late January. There’s no official word yet on if Booker will be taking his old spot filled by Coachman.

On a related note, Coach recently took to Twitter and responded to some of the criticism he’s received since returning to WWE, noting that he’s hiring an assistant to help him research topics. You can see the exchange below:

Booker posted a tweet asking Graves to call in on his next show and clear the air.

Booker T Blames Corey Graves For Being Taken Off Raw & Challenges Him To A Fight

Last week, a change was made to the Raw announce team with Jonathan Coachman coming in and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T being moved out. WWE said Booker T would remain with the company to work Kickoff panels, as well as making occasional Raw appearances and serving as a WWE Ambassador. On his podcast ,Heated Conversations, Booker T spoke about why he was moved off the team and blamed Corey Graves and the jabs that have been thrown by both announcers.

“If I got Corey Graves into a fisticuffs, I would beat him down like he stole something,” Booker T said. “I would be whoopin’ his ass all day long. My thing is this, I’m a nice guy, until you get on my bad side. Corey Graves, I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s on my bad side right now, but he’s the reason that I’m not on Monday Night Raw right now. Lot of people in the company thought I was going to jump on him. I was gonna do something bad to him. I was gonna drag him. I was gonna take him out to the woodshed. I was gonna beat that man so bad that he was going to say ‘Please, please, just don’t beat me anymore.’ That’s how hot I was getting, that’s how close I was getting.”

According to Booker, WWE wanted him to cool off and did that by moving him back to the Kickoffpanels and away from Graves.

“So, they said ‘Hey, Book, step back a second, alright? We’re gonna regroup, press the rewind button. We’re gonna send you back to the Kickoff show, SmackDown and Monday Night Raw PPVs and cool ya down for a second. Because we don’t want you to do anything to Corey Graves.'”

Booker T continued that if he catches Graves out and about, he’s going to “do something” to the Raw Announcer.

“If I catch Corey Graves on the street, I’m gonna do something to him,” Booker T said. “I ain’t gonna do it at the office or the airport, but if I catch Corey Graves on the street, you see that little bouffant hairdo he got? I’m gonna rearrange it for him.”

Wrapping up, Booker said he didn’t like his money being messed with and outright challenged Graves to a fight.

“Everybody knows my reputation, I get mean, if you mess with my ‘green,'” Booker responded. “And right now, my ‘green’ is being messed with. Is WrestleMania coming up, right? There’s room for one more match at WrestleMania. Right now on my show, I’m calling Corey Graves out to a fight. Not a match. Not a pre-show pose down or anything like that. I’m calling Corey Graves out to a fight. I’m talking man-to-man. Mano-a-mano. You and I.”

Booker T is auctioning off a bunch of signed wrestling gear and memorabilia to help victims of Hurricane Harvey — including something from King BOOKAH’s closet.

The current Raw announcer is working with his own Booker T Fights For Kids Foundation to help raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston.

The auction includes signed gear and shirts from a variety of superstars … including shirts and hoodies worn by The Hardy Boyz/Seth Rollins, gloves from Bray Wyatt/Roman Reigns and ring worn gear by Rob Van Dam/Sharmell/X-Pac.

However, the biggest auction piece comes from the 5-time WCW champ himself. Included in the auction is one of King Booker’s robes, which was worn after his King of the Ring win in 2006.

Booker T Running For Office In 2020

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has announced his plans to run for Mayor of Houston, Texas in 2020.

The announcement was made during his “Heated Conversations” radio show on Saturday night, which airs on Sports Radio 610, according to CBS Houston.

“You heard it, 2020 I’m preparing,” Booker said. “I’m preparing myself to run for mayor of the city.”

Booker, who is currently RAW and SmackDown Pre-show co-host on the WWE Network, noted that he talked to Rhyno for advice after Rhyno recently ran for a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives. Rhyno was on Saturday’s show and said he believes Booker would make a great Mayor. He said:

“You are over qualified for the job. Wrestling not only prepares you for life but it prepares you for positions like that because you feel the emotion from the people you know what they want, you’ve built yourself from where you were to where you’re at now.”

Why Booker T Was Hospitalized This Weekend

Source: WrestlingINC

Sharmell revealed on social media that Booker T was hospitalized over the weekend. This is why he missed last night’s RAW Pre-show.

Booker also tweeted that the Spin-a-roonie had been retired and now PWInsider reports that he had surgery on his elbow. Booker tore his triceps performing the move back in 2013 while being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and apparently this surgery was related to that injury.

The WWE Hall of Famer is already at home recovering.
