Becky Lynch Says She’s Pitched Women’s Tag Titles To WWE Officials

Becky Lynch says she’s unsuccessfully pitched an idea to WWE officials for a women’s tag team championship that could travel between brands — even NXT.

Becky laid out the concept to Lilian Garcia, who was moderating a Friday panel at Ace Comic Con in Seattle. Garcia said it was a great idea and asked Becky if she’s mentioned it to WWE officials.

“Been pitching it for a year — maybe two,” the Irish Lasskicker responded.

Becky explained due to the number of women on the roster, there wouldn’t be enough competitors to make the titles viable on a single brand. She noted allowing the champs to travel between RAW, SmackDown and NXT would set the stage for a larger range of matches and possibilities.

Adding, “I think that would get people excited to watch any of the brands, because you wouldn’t know when people would be showing up on either RAW or Smackdown.”

WWE’s Four Horsewomen Face-Off With MMA’s Version At Mae Young Classic Taping (VIDEO)

The unspoken rivalry between The Four Horsewomen of WWE and The Four Horsewomen of MMA escalated on Friday during the Mae Young Classic … and the video is pretty awesome!

Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Bayley were sitting ringside during last night’s Mae Young Classic taping … and tensions began to flare up during one of Shayna Baszler’s matches while Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke were seated on the opposite side.

Things picked up though after Baszler taunted Lynch, Flair and Bayley — leading to an across the aisle face off, where both sides flashed fours at each other.

It remains to be seen what this will lead to, but a few years ago Ronda was interested in working a WWE match at WrestleMania with her friends — could the seeds be starting to plant here?

Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Becky Lynch Not Competing Tonight At WWE No Mercy

It was confirmed at WWE No Mercy tonight that SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is unable to compete. Shane McMahon mentioned that a non-physical health issue is keeping her out of the ring. Daniel Bryan announced that Alexa Bliss will get her title shot against Becky at the November 8th SmackDown from Glasgow, Scotland, so it sounds like Becky is expected to be out for a month.

Becky Lynch’s International Media Call With ESPN UK

Source: WrestlingINC

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently did an international media call to promote the upcoming WWE UK tour in November. The ESPN website has coverage at this link and below are highlights:

Winning the title:

“It was the culmination of half my life’s work — just personified in a white and blue and gold championship. It’s hard to describe. But everything comes flashing back to me. You can be going through hardships sometimes, and you’re struggling, and then you’re wondering if you’re ever gonna make it. [Wondering] if things are gonna work out, and you just keep pushing forward. And then getting this symbol, this trophy, you just realize that all the struggle, all the hard times they were all worth it — and you wouldn’t give any of them back, because that’s what makes the journey even better.”

Her original gimmick in WWE NXT where she danced a jig to the ring while Irish music played:

“Let us never talk about that again. You know what, you can’t get worse than that. Sometimes you’ve just gotta fricking make a fool out of yourself and then you become little bit untouchable. So, I tell ya, it’s gonna make one hell of a biography one day, I hope. That was terrible, and we all know it was terrible. Let nobody else say anything different.”

A possible Four Horsewomen stable with Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Bayley on TV:

“Ooh, that’s a good question. I think we’re better fighting each other, to be honest with you. That’s where magic happens. But who knows? I could see it happening very easily, especially with the talent we’re gonna have coming up from NXT soon, with Asuka, and Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, to name just a few. I don’t know if we will be reunited as a group, as a unit. But we will be reunited to main event Wrestlemania.”

Original Plans For WWE Money In The Bank Heel Turn, Speculation On Natalya Leaving WWE

Source: WrestlingINC

As seen at Sunday’s WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view, Natalya turned on Becky Lynch after their tag team loss to Dana Brooke and WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte.

PWInsider Elite reports that Original plans had Becky turning heel. No word yet on why plans were changed.

On a related note, there has been a lot of internal speculation that Natalya may leave the company when her current WWE contract expires, due to the situation with husband Tyson Kidd being unable to wrestle. It should be noted that this is just speculation among people in the company and there’s been no solid word on Natalya looking to leave but people do expect her to go.

Charlotte Explains Why She Attacked Becky Lynch (video)

Last night on RAW friends Becky Lynch and WWE Divas Champion Charlotte faced off against each other in what was supposed to be a friendly match. Charlotte had her father Ric Flair with her at ringside. Becky got the win even with Flair’s outside interference. After the match Charlotte went full on heel and attacked her friend Becky. WWE posted the following RAW Fallout video of Charlotte with Ric flair explaining her actions:

WWE Changing Name Of Diva Stable

The Diva stable of Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch was recently given the name “The Submission Sorority” but now there are reports that WWE is having to change the name due to there being a porn website with that name.

WWE may be changing the stable name to “The Submission Sisters”, which I think is a better name. When I first heard that they was naming there stable “The Submission Sorority”, I immediately hated that name.

Update:

It looks like the stable is currently going by PaigeCharlotteBecky or PCB.
