shoulder bayley injury update no timetable

Even though she isn’t appearing at the show, Bayley is in town for SummerSlam … and she just gave some updates on her shoulder injury in a new interview.

Speaking with PWInsider, Bayley confirmed that she is dealing with a grade 2 separation and explained, “It’s like the AC joint and the ligaments and all that stuff, so it’s not easy.”

Bayley admits she doesn’t know how long she’ll be out yet, but confirmed she has started physical therapy … adding, “Just within the past couple of weeks, I think it’s been two weeks now, I’ve actually been able to move it a little bit and the swelling has gone down a lot.”

The wrestler concluded by saying, “So, the motion is coming back a little bit more, but it’s more about getting the strength and being able to lift my arm in front of me.”

Bayley was set to take on Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, but received the injury on Raw a week later. Her best friend Sasha Banks will now be facing Bliss.

RAW Preview 8/7/17, Bayley Injury Update

Tonight’s WWE RAW will take place from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as the Road to WWE SummerSlam continues.

* Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to face off in a Last Man Standing Match tonight on Raw

* Bayley’s future to be determined:

Bayley’s Raw Women’s Championship opportunity against Alexa Bliss is in jeopardy after suffering an injury to her right shoulder during her match against Nia Jax.

According to WWE medical personnel, the extent of the injury has yet to be determined due to swelling in and around the injured area. A conclusive diagnosis will be made today in Toronto, but based on what we have seen, it doesn’t seem likey that The Huggable One will be getting back into the ring anytime soon.

If Bayley is unable to compete at SummerSlam, who will challenge the so-called “Goddess of WWE” for her coveted championship? Hopefully, details will emerge on Raw.

* Does Rollins truly have Ambrose’s back?

* The Hardys’ fury has been “awoken”

* How will Wyatt respond to Bálor’s mind games?

WWE Announces Injury To Bayley

WWE has announced that Bayley suffered a right shoulder injury during Monday night’s RAW match with Nia Jax. Her status for the match with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at the August 20th WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view is currently up in the air.

Below is WWE’s full announcement:

Bayley suffers a shoulder injury Monday night on RawDuring her match with Nia Jax on the July 31 edition of Raw, Bayley suffered an injury to her right shoulder.

The former Raw Women’s Champion was evaluated by medical personnel, but the official diagnosis was inconclusive due to the amount of swelling involved. Bayley has been told to rest the shoulder until next week, at which point doctors are hopeful that the swelling will have sufficiently gone down so that she may be reevaluated and a firm verdict can be reached.

“Everything just tensed up around it,” Bayley told WWE.com shortly after her match on Monday night. “I’ve never had an injury like this before, so I can’t really know what it is. I guess we’re gonna see.”

Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com, “We’ve determined the injury is shoulder-related, and she will be going under further diagnostic testing later this week to determine the extent of the injury and also establish a timetable for recovery.”

Check back with WWE.com for more details on Bayley’s injury as they become available.

WWE’s Four Horsewomen Face-Off With MMA’s Version At Mae Young Classic Taping (VIDEO)

The unspoken rivalry between The Four Horsewomen of WWE and The Four Horsewomen of MMA escalated on Friday during the Mae Young Classic … and the video is pretty awesome!

Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Bayley were sitting ringside during last night’s Mae Young Classic taping … and tensions began to flare up during one of Shayna Baszler’s matches while Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke were seated on the opposite side.

Things picked up though after Baszler taunted Lynch, Flair and Bayley — leading to an across the aisle face off, where both sides flashed fours at each other.

It remains to be seen what this will lead to, but a few years ago Ronda was interested in working a WWE match at WrestleMania with her friends — could the seeds be starting to plant here?

Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Bayley Makes RAW Debut (Video)

Last night on RAW, former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley made her debut as an official member of the RAW roster. She was introduced by RAW General Manager Mick Foley, who confirmed that he and RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon have signed her for the red brand.

Bayley went on to challenge Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Title but was put in a match against Dana Brooke instead.

Regarding Bayley’s RAW roster debut on last night’s show, she challenged WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte to a match but Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reports that she originally was not scheduled to be in the title picture as soon as she was called up. It will be interesting to see if they push Bayley vs. Charlotte up because of Sasha’s absence.

Bayley On Her WWE Future & If Main Roster Appearance Was A One-Off

In the video below, Sasha Banks and her WWE Battleground mystery partner Bayley talk to Andrea D’Marco after their win over WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Bayley says it was a huge honor and calls it a special night. She also called it a one-time thing, mentioning she’s still focused on the WWE NXT Women’s Title but anything can happen in WWE.

Speculation On Bayley & The WWE Draft, Heath Slater

Source: WrestlingINC

There’s a lot of speculation that Bayley will end up on the main roster before the month is over, perhaps as Sasha Banks’ mystery partner against Dana Brooke and WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte at Sunday’s Battleground pay-per-view.

RAW only received two WWE NXT picks in the Draft, Finn Balor and Nia Jax, and with Charlotte, Dana and Sasha going to RAW, Bayley would be a good fit. We noted yesterday that WWE had “Hugger Section” signs placed in ringside seats at SmackDown but we’ve heard from one fan that those signs were created and placed by another fan. As noted, only 59 of 60 Draft picks were announced with Heath Slater being “left out” as an apparent comedy bit.

Bayley Says She Wants To Come To The Main Roster, Talks Her Future, Her Character Being Popular

Source: WrestlingINC

Former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley was recently interviewed by Nashville Scene. You can see some highlights below, and the full interview at this link.

Her character:

“It’s cool because that is what I wanted to do. I wanted kids to feel like I felt when I attended wrestling shows. I wanted them to be involved and be excited and look forward to not just John Cena. It’s the big kid in me. I am just acting like myself when I was 10 years old. It’s so cute how passionate kids can be. And there is also a responsibility to the parents, who thank me for being a role model. I have to make sure I keep my head on.”

Her future:

“Well, I am excited to come to Nashville. It’s one of my favorite towns and the crowd was so amazing last time. And I want to join the WWE (main roster). I really wanna have a match with Natty. She’s been there and she’s been a women’s champion. And Nikki Bella after she comes back.”
