Guardians of the Galaxy, which stars (Batista)Dave Bautista, is off to a huge start at the box office. It took in $11.2 million in previews on Thursday & $37.8 million on Friday. It is expected to earn between $91-$100 million for the weekend.

WWE Considering A Big Gimmick Match For Daniel Bryan at Payback
Batista’s status is up in the air for Payback & WWE officials, including Vince McMahon were still trying to convince him to stay & work the match with Daniel Bryan next month. The plan coming out of Extreme Rules is if they can’t get Batista for the match at Payback, then they will do Kane VS Bryan in a Buried Alive Match.

Batista Possibly Taking Time Off After Extreme Rules
It looks like Batista may be taking some time off after WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV. He is not currently being advertised for any WWE events after the show, including RAW the next night. He is also not advertised for the European Tour that starts in May.
Back when Batista signed with WWE it was reported that he was expected to take some time off to do promotional work for Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy, but that movie doesn’t open until August 1st.

Speculation For Batista’s Return To WWE
Batista was being advertised for a WWE live event on February 16th in Las Vegas. WWE officials were reportedly upset over the leak of Batista’s return & WWE has pulled any mention of his return.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Newsletter is speculating that WWE’s plans for Batista include him winning the 2014 Royal Rumble & facing Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
