Rumors of the Bad News Barrett gimmick returning have been popping up for a while now as many are speculating that WWE could be bringing it back. Tuesday night in a backstage segment during the Main Event tapings, Wade Barrett used the “bad news” gimmick. No word yet on if the gimmick will be returning full time soon. Barrett stop using the “bad news” gimmick after winning King of the Ring and has since been known as King Barrett.

Bad News Barrett had some issues with his work visa back in 2010. Barrett won’t have to worry about that no more because he got some good news, he now has a green card,which means he’s now a lawful permanent resident of the United States. Barrett tweeted about it:
Earlier we noted that Bad News Barrett was being advertised for WWE’s Tour of Europe in November & that he should return in the fall. Barrett is now no longer being advertised for the Tour of Europe in November. So it appears that his return has been pushed back.
PWInsider reports that Bad News Barrett who is out with a shoulder injury is being advertised for WWE’s November Tour of Europe. Barrett should be back in action this fall.

Bad News Barrett had surgery today on his shoulder. He had a ligament reconstruction in his shoulder & a distal clavicle resection, where the end of the collar bone is shaved off. The surgery was performed by Dr. Jeff Dugas in Birmingham, Alabama. The operation went well & he is resting comfortably.
Barrett suffered the injury when Jack Swagger tossed him into the fan barrier on the June 27th SmackDown. Barrett is expected to be out for several months.
