Samoa Joe Headed To WWE Main Roster, Plans For Sami Zayn & Finn Balor

Source: Wrestlezone.com

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, plans are currently in place to bring Samoa Joe to the WWE main roster following WrestleMania, maybe even as early as the post-Mania episode of Raw. There has also been talk in WWE of having Samoa Joe defeat Finn Balor for the NXT Title, and if that takes place then it’s likely Joe’s main roster debut will be delayed.

In addition to Joe, there has been a lot of consideration lately being given to the idea of bringing Sami Zayn up to the main roster to feud with Kevin Owens.

Regarding Finn Balor’s main roster status, it appears unlikely he will be called up after WrestleMania, as officials are still looking at him to be the face of the NXT brand past March.

Bull Dempsey & 4 Others Gone From NXT

NXT star Bull Dempsey announced this morning on Twitter that he’s left the WWE. He thanked Triple H for the opportunity and said he hopes he sees him down the road.

In addition to Bull Dempsey, it appears that both Marcus Louis and Sylvester LeFort are gone from NXT as well. The two weren’t on TV much following the split of their tag team, The Legionnaires. but briefly feuded with Enzo and Cass on NXT TV during their run.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, two more NXT names have been released. Magno (Oscar Vasquez) and Peter Howard were let go, bringing the total number of NXT cuts today to five.

Magno made an appearance on TNA TV in 2013 as a part of their Gut Check Challenge, taking on current NXT coach Adam Pearce. He’d performed under the name of “Oscar” on a few NXT live events over the past few months.

Howard, a UK-born wrestler, participated in a live event battle royal for NXT last fall, but hadn’t made it to TV.

Tye Dillinger Injured At NXT Event

Source: WrestlingINC

Tye Dillinger suffered a knee injury at Saturday’s WWE NXT live event in Detroit after countering a suplex from Sami Zayn. F4Wonline.com reports that Dillinger will be evaluated by WWE doctors on Monday, so there should be a better idea of his status then. As of this writing, Dillinger has not tweeted about the injury.

Dillinger went down after countering a move from Zayn and the referee stopped the match. The dreaded “X” symbol was thrown up and help came from the back. Dillinger was then helped out of the ring and to the back.

Update:

Word going around is that Dillinger is suffering from a badly strained knee, according to PWInsider. There’s no word yet on how long he will be out of action.

Shinuske Nakamura Is Coming To NXT TakeOver: Dallas, (Video) AJ Styles VS Nakamura At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10

Source: WWE.com

WWE.com announced that Shinsuke Nakamura will be at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, which takes place during WrestleMania 32 week.

WWE issued the following:

Yes, the rumors are true. Shinsuke Nakamura is coming to WWE NXT.

At Wednesday night’s NXT taping at Full Sail University in Orlando, Fla., a video announcing the arrival of the Japanese standout at TakeOver: Dallas, which takes place during WrestleMania 32 Week, played for the live crowd, sending shockwaves through the arena and, moments later, the social media world.

Nakamura, a 14-year veteran of the squared circle, has been a leading star in the New Japan promotion since 2002. Renowned for his striking and submission ability, as well as his unorthodox charisma, Nakamura’s devastating Bomaye knee strike has felled many opponents and his smash mouth style has earned him the nickname The King of Strong Style. A three-time IWGP Champion — the same title once held by the likes of Vader, The Great Muta and AJ Styles — Nakamura is the youngest competitor to win that championship, capturing it for the first time at 23. He has taken on a who’s who of the best grapplers in the world in his career, facing the likes of Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami, WWE Performance Center Head Coach Matt Bloom and The Beast Incarnate himself, Brock Lesnar.

Rumors of Nakamura coming to WWE first started in early January, along with gossip about AJ Styles and Bullet Club members Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows returning to America. Reports about Styles became truth during the 2016 Royal Rumble Match when The Phenomenal One entered at No. 3. Now, The King of Strong Style has decreed that he will be stepping between the yellow ropes in the not-so-distant future.

What does Shinsuke Nakamura have planned for NXT and The Superstars of Tomorrow at TakeOver: Dallas? Find out by tuning into NXT, every Wednesday at 8/7 C, only on WWE Network!

Below is video of AJ Styles VS Shinsuke Nakamura from NJPW Wrestling Kingdom 10, it has to be heavily considered for match of the year because it is fantastic.
