Tommaso Ciampa of DIY was reportedly injured at last night’s  NXT live event in Highland Heights, KY.

Ciampa and his partner, Johnny Gargano, were facing Sanity at the show. A few minutes into the match, Ciampa dived off the ring apron onto Sanity and hurt his left leg. The match was quickly stopped and ruled a no-contest. An upset Ciampa hopped to the back yelling, “get me the f–k out of here.”

Ciampa and Gargano were scheduled to face NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain for the titles at NXT TakeOver: Chicago this Saturday.

NXT Champion Bobby Roode triumphed over Shinsuke Nakamura in an all-out war, meaning NXT will continue down the titleholder’s glorious path. But, what exactly will that look like?

Plus, both NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka retained their titles in hard-fought battles. Will their TakeOver challengers look for redemption, or will new opponents rise?

There are plenty of questions to be answered following TakeOver: Orlando. See what answers will be provided tonight at 8/7 C on the award-winning WWE Network.

Backstage News On WWE NXT Superstars Coming To The Main Roster Soon, One Call-Up Delayed?

Some of the WWE NXT Superstars who suffered losses at “Takeover: Orlando” on Saturday night are set for main roster call-ups soon, according to Wrestling Observer Radio.

Word is that Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger and Andrade “Cien” Almas are coming to the main roster soon. Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Dash and Dawson of The Revival may be called up as well. No word yet on what brand these Superstars might end up on.

No word yet on Elias Samson coming to the main roster but it appears his call-up may be delayed. It was believed that Samson was headed to the main roster after losing the “Loser Leaves NXT” match to Kassius Ohno last week but Dave Meltzer indicated other wise on Observer Radio. The plan was for Samson to come to the main roster as recent as January of this year.
