Brie Bella Part Of Raw Opening Segment To Comfort Daniel Bryan

brie bryan raw dad passUpon hearing about his father’s unexpected passing Monday Daniel Bryan insisted on at least being part of Raw’s opening segment this week before leaving to be with his family. Bryan who was obviously emotionally distraught by the news of his father’s passing received comfort and encouragement from his newlywed Brie Bella. Brie was added to the segment as a source of support for Daniel who did not cut a promo but instead “took one” for the team and received a beating from Kane before being helped out of the area by medical personnel.

Dana White’s thoughts on GSP

20140418-170451.jpg

When GSP stepped down from the UFC in december after winning his fight against Johnny Hendricks due to a Controversial split decision many wondered what would be next for him. I mean he vacated his title and after all he’s arguably one of the best in the Welterweight division. Further more with That division ever growing by the day thus becoming more competitive there’s no telling what could happen. Many people in the industry including UFC president Dana White understood that GSP just needed to take some time off. However in March when GSP suffered his second ACL injury in the last year. It’s really hard to determine the future of GSP he’s still only in his early 30’s but his recent role in the blockbuster “captain America winter soldier” he may have other things then fighting on his mind. Further more it has been said that GSP made up to 5Million per fight so he obviously won’t be hurting for money anytime soon. (You can check out what Dana White said about GSP here)

So what do you guys thinkwill we see GSP back in the octagon or has this MMA great hung up his gloves for good?

Gina Carano possibly signing with UFC

Gina Carano is arguably one of the best in WMMA. She’s one of the women that took WMMA off the ground and got people to notice. She’s also one of the first WMMA stars to pursue an acting career outside of fighting. (And now Rousey Is following in those footsteps thus creating a path of her own) It’s been 5 years since we’ve seen Carano in an octagon surrounded by the cage. Could it be that we may not have to wait much longer? (Check out Dana Whites thoughts on that possibility here)
http://www.ibtimes.com/will-gina-carano-sign-ufc-dana-white-very-confident-return-talks-possible-fight-ronda-1573114

A dream fight that everyone wants to see is Carano vs Rousey. Two very high profile names squaring off against each other has to be good for business. In fact it sounds so good that the champ Ronda Rousey is even willing to fight in Gina’s weight class of 145. It should also be noted that Rousey has high respect for Carano. Carano on the other hand has one gol in mind and that’s to get back where she belongs and possibly become champ. It doesn’t matter if its Rousey or Davis. She just wants to fight.
So what’s next for Carano? Only time will tell

Cat Zingano Status

It was announced 6 days ago that UFC Women’s Battemweight Champion Ronda Rousey will be defending her title at UFC175 live on P.P.V. July 5th during international fight week against Invicta veteran Alexis Davis. Davis’ last victory against Jessica Eye at UFC170 indeed put her in title contention, but some fans had the question what about Zingano?
Yes what about Zingano? Cat Zingano earned the spot to be number 1 contender for the title last year when she knocked out Miesha Tate? So why hasn’t she got her shot?
As some of you may or may not know Zingano tore her ACL and had to back out of the fight. Not only that but the tragic death of her husband and training partner set her back as well. It’s been a tough year for Zingano indeed.
Yesterday at the TUF nations final press conference Dana White Stated that Zingano won’t be back anytime soon but she still has her spot to fight Rousey (you can read more of the article here) http://msn.foxsports.com/ufc/story/dana-white-cat-zingano-still-going-to-be-out-awhile-041614

With all this being said my prayers will be with Zingano and I know I speak for a lot of people when I say I can’t wait to see her back in the octagon. The fight between her and Rousey should be a site to see.

Do you guys think Davis was a good choice to step up against Rousey? Let me know, I for one can’t wait to see these two square off. I’m a fan of both but of corse my heart is with Rousey.

Total Divas recap 4/13/14

20140414-140802.jpg

Here are my thoughts on this episode of Total Divas sorry for the abrupt cut off my phone is being dumb. What I was saying Is Nattie got a match at TLC for the divas title against AJ and almost didn’t partake in it because of the nose issue so my heart really did go out to her on this episode . None the less enjoy the rest of the video. I’ll catch you guys next week seeing as I’ll be unable to do Raw coverage because I’ll be at my cousins wedding.

More Inside Details On Taker Losing At Mania

Referee Chad Patton did not know that The Undertaker would be losing to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX. He was told Taker was winning but the rule every referee is told is that if the guys don’t kick out, you continue the count. Right after the match ended, Lesnar whispered in Taker’s ear, “Thank you.”

Apparently the decision to end The Streak was finalized on March 31st. Only a few people knew the outcome before WrestleMania Sunday. The group of people that knew were most likely Vince McMahon, Taker, Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. None of the agents were aware. The actual script for the show did not have a finish listed but this didn’t raise any red flags because that’s not unusual for WrestleMania and it wasn’t the only match that didn’t have a finish listed.

Whether or not The Undertaker is done, Vince was going on the assumption that this was his last match and he could either win or lose. McMahon chose the idea that it’s better to lose on your way out. One person close to the situation said Vince talked Taker into losing. Another person, who would also be in the know, described it as Vince making the call and Taker agreeing, and that he wasn’t talked into doing something he didn’t want to do. Losing was not Taker’s original decision but he was in on it and never protested the decision. Perhaps, like he thought in 2010, if he was going to lose, maybe he thought Lesnar was the guy to lose to.

There were many people within WWE very unhappy about The Streak ending but couldn’t say so publicly.
