WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has been making the rounds to promote his Real American Beer brand, but not every stop on his tour has been met with cheers. According to a report from News 12 Orange County, several fans were left frustrated after waiting hours for a promised meet-and-greet at a ShopRite in Montgomery, New York, only to be turned away when Hogan abruptly left.
Fans Left Hanging After Hours of Waiting
One fan, Robert Taylor of New Windsor, recounted his experience, saying he and his children—ages 7 and 5—had waited in line for four hours, expecting to meet Hogan, take photos, and receive autographs. According to Taylor, the event was supposed to accommodate at least 200 fans, and he and his kids were well within that number at 185. However, as they approached the front of the line, Hogan suddenly left, leaving them and many others disappointed.
“They just stood up and bolted along the back. Some lady was very upset, screaming and cursing. My son just started crying and a bunch of other kids were crying,” Taylor said. “If he had to leave, he could’ve walked down and shook people’s hands and said, ‘Hey, I’m sorry we have to get going,’ rather than just leaving people stranded.”
Taylor even shared a heartbreaking video with News 12, showing his kids in the car afterward, visibly upset and calling out Hogan with remarks like, “You’re the worst,” and “Why did you do this?”
Hogan’s Other Stops Seemed More Successful
Before the Montgomery ShopRite event, Hogan made several appearances throughout the Hudson Valley, including in Poughkeepsie, where he received a warm reception. Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino even declared that day “Hulk Hogan Day” in his honor. On his social media accounts, Hogan shared footage from his other promotional stops, where he was seen hugging fans, taking pictures, and handing out free beer.
However, the abrupt end to the Montgomery event has left some fans feeling overlooked. News 12 attempted to reach out to Hogan’s publicist for comment but received no response.
What Happened?
As of now, it’s unclear why Hogan left before meeting all the waiting fans. Whether it was a scheduling issue, a miscommunication, or something else entirely, the lack of explanation has only fueled frustration among those who were left empty-handed.
For now, fans are left wondering whether Hogan will address the incident—or if this unfortunate experience will just be another chapter in the unpredictable saga of The Hulkster.
