Reaction To The Idea Of WWE Going Private

There’s been a lot of talk online about WWE going private after the recent stock troubles. There has been negative reaction to the idea when it was brought up in the past within WWE. The feeling is that being a public company makes them more respectable, more legitimate & gives pro wrestling a better mainstream look.

  1. They’d need to painfully buy back all their stock. People have speculated the same with Nintendo that they’re tanking their stock to buy it back. I’m not sure how the WWE is managing to lose that much money over the network. Other than $10 per month for the network vs $60 per month for PPVs. Yet there are 666,000 network subscribers at $10 vs 100,000 PPV buyers for lesser PPVs. That seems like a balance. Plus, the $200 million in rights fees somehow isn’t enough to cover expenses?
