TOTAL DIVAS RECAP: Relationships Problems Plague The Divas

Before I start with this week’s recap, I want to mention one thing I left off of last week’s post. It was great seeing Bryan James (Road Dogg) working backstage with the Divas on how their match needed to go.

Now for this week. Early in the show, we get a look at the reality of professional wrestling, as JoJo gets injured while training with the NXT trainers. She has to sit off to the side and watch as she possibly has a concussion.

The theme of the show seems to be how the business puts such strains on personal relationships. And as I click over to WWE.com the heading for the show is Relationship Meltdowns.

JoJo and her boyfriend are having issues about her being gone so much,

Trinity and Jon are having trouble as Jon wants Trinity to commit to more than just being engaged.

Brie, tells Nikki that her and Bryan will be moving to Phoenix. Nikki isn’t very happy with the decision and later in the show tells both Brie and and Bryan she hates them . A little later the Bella Twins are meeting with producers from a movie that they will be appearing in. Brie is late for the meeting and Nikki blames it on them packing for the move.

John helps Nikki see that Bryan isn’t really a bad guy and that she has a short fuse, and eventually Nikki apologizes to Brie and Brie tells Nikki that Bryan helped her see things through Nikki’s eyes.

Good to see Bill DeWitt (Hugh Morrus) working with the Divas.

With the background of  Trinity and Jon having problems, WWE sets a match with with the Bellas and the Usos taking on The Funkadactyls and Tons of Funk. Trinity and Jon are opponents and are tagged in at the same time and by WWE rules, Trinity should have tagged in one of the men. Instead Trinity gives him a flying head scissors. Backstage issues flowing over into the ring.

As the show is ending, JoJo chooses to break up with her boyfriend and follow her career and Trinity apologizes to Jon and they decide to continue in their relationship.

My observations for tonight are that there was a pretty good mixture between what I call drama and backstage and in ring action. Also, it was evident that after most of the focus last week being on Eva Marie, they decided to put her in the background tonight.
