Raw Recap: July 15 2013

The show started with the lights out & a big drum roll & the new Raw GM Brad Maddox came out & said his first decision as GM is to make a rematch for the Money In The Bank match of Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler. Maddox said Vickie Guerrero was was great but he is determined to be the greatest GM of all time. John Cena interrupted & came to the ring. Cena said so this is the Maddox era. Cena told Maddox to take a good look because this is the only time in the Maddox era that the person your next to in the ring is more hated than you. Cena said to Maddox that he might be a pretty OK GM & said I say we give you a chance. Maddox said he has always admired Cena ever since he was a teenager watching him on TV. Maddox said admires his courage, strength, will to win & the way he treats those less privileged than himself. Maddox said he is going to allow Cena to chose his own opponent for Summer Slam. Maddox said he is going to bring every Superstar out to the stage so Cena can chose. Cena said Maddox is even stupider than he looks. cena said he could chose Doc Hendrix, Dutch Mantel or even Michael Cole. Cena said he isn’t going to wrestle Cole because Cole wrestles like a girl. Randy Orton interrupted & came out to the ring & said there is a good chance come Summer Slam that Cena wont be champion. Orton said for Cena not to worry he isn’t going to cash in the Money In The Bank contract tonight. because he doesn’t want to make the same stupid mistake Cena made last year. Orton said her believes you should take advantage of opportunities not squander them. Orton said when he cashes in the Money In The Bank contract Cena will never see it coming. Fandango interrupted & came out with Summer Rae. Fandango said Orton wont be cashing it in on Cena but will be cashing it in on him. Fandango said there is only one man the WWE Universe wants to see take on Cena & his name is Fandango. Fandango teached Cena how to say his name. Orton nailed Fandango & they brawled & while they brawled Cena left. Maddox came out & made a match of Orton vs Fandango & called a referee out to the ring.

Randy Orton vs Fandango: Orton got the win.

Backstage Dolph Ziggler walking down the hallway & was approached by AJ Lee. AJ said I know your still mad but are you going to start talking to me at some point. Ziggler said to her to stop apologizing for what happened last night, it’s time to move on. AJ hugged Ziggler but he didn’t hug her back. Ziggler said no you don’t understand, it’s time for me to move on from you. Ziggler said we’re done & walked off.

Mark Henry came to the ring & said Cena came as advertised & that Cena is one of the greatest WWE Champions of all time. Henry said he gave it all he had & took Cena to his limits. Fans chanted you tapped out. Henry said I did tap out & he would tap out all of you too. Henry said he isn’t out here to make excuses or apologies. Henry said he wants Cena to chose him for his opponent at Summer Slam. Henry said he took him to his limits once & will do it again. The Shield interrupted & came down & circled the ring. Henry didn’t wait for them to attack him & he struck them first. Henry held his won with them for a little bit but the 3 of them was too much. The Shield laid out Henry with a triple powerbomb.

Maddox in his office on the phone with his mom & Chris Jericho walked in. Jericho made some jokes about Maddox. Maddox made a match of Jericho vs RVD in order for Jericho to impress Cena so that Cena might chose Jericho. Jericho said to Maddox if he keeps making decisions like that he has got a hell of a future.

Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler: During the match AJ ringed the bell & distracted Ziggler which allowed Del Rio to blindside Ziggler with a kick to the head & Del Rio got the win. After the  match AJ entered the ring & started slapping Ziggler & then Big E Langston nailed Ziggler with a clothesline. Langston laid Ziggler out with the Book End. AJ picked up Ziggler’s head & kissed him & shoved him back to the mat. AJ seemed to be crying as she & Langston made their way up the ramp.

R-Truth came to the ring & when he goes to talk the lights went out & The Wyatt family appeared on the big screen. Bray Wyatt said we’re here & they made their way to the ring in the dark with a lantern. Wyatt sat down in his rocking chair & the lights came back on & Erick Rowan & Luke Harper attacked R-Truth in the ring while Wyatt looked on from his rocking chair. They beat R-Truth down & kicked him out to the floor. Wyatt came  into the ring & said they have been lying to you there is no such thing as a hero not anymore. Wyatt said you have become addicted to the illusion of what a hero is & does for you. Wyatt said you think you need someone to pat you on the back & you think you need someone to tuck you in bed at night, kiss you on the cheek & tell you that everything is alright but everything isn’t alright. Wyatt said what if I tell you that the man who made you is a liar, what if I was to tell you that your own flesh & blood turned his back on you. Wyatt said I would never turn my back on you & maybe the answers you seek have been slapping you in the face & maybe I Bray Wyatt have been the answer all along. R-Truth got back up & was on the apron with a steel chair in hand. Rowan & Harper left the ring & Wyatt stood in the ring with his arms outstretched wide & yelled at R-Truth what are you waiting for. R-Truth got distracted by Rowan & Harper on the outside & Wyatt nailed R-Truth with a splash in the corner & The Wyatt family laid out R-Truth. Wyatt said to R-Truth you are not the truth we seek, Kane follow the buzzards. Wyatt on his knees posed with his arms outstretched with Rowan & Harper standing behind him.

The WWE Universe can vote via the WWE App for the Real Americans( Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro) opponents. The chose are the Uso’s, Tons of Funk or Prime Time Players.

The Real Americans with Zeb Colter made their way to the ring. Colter ran his mouth about the lack of the English language being spoken in Brooklyn & about the Real Americans being robbed last night. Colter wants Cena to chose one of the Real Americans as his Summer Slam opponent. “We the people.”

Jerry Lawler announced the results of the vote via the WWE App. The WWE Universe chose the Uso’s.

The Real Americans vs The Uso’s: The Uso’s got the win.

Damien Sandow vs Christian: Christian got the win. After the match Sandow was attacked bt Cody Rhodes. 3 referees pulled Rhodes off of Sandow. Sandow  escaped through the crowd.

Footage was showed of Vickie Guerrero wearing a giant sign that said Vote for Vickie & she was speaking with a megaphone. She had a petition for her to be reinstated for the fans to sign.

Brie Bella vs Naomi: Maomi got the win.

CM Punk limped to the ring. Punk said he knows Paul Heyman & Brock Lesnar are in the building & he isn’t waiting anymore & said come on out boys. Heyman came out & said he is looking at a empty ring because in his world CM Punk doesn’t exist. Heyman talked about how in 2005 he saved Punk’s career & said they where the WWE champions for 434 days & they where with an inch of ending The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak & they where the best in the world. Heyman said without him Punk isn’t the best in the world. Heyman said Punk you failed us when you couldn’t beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Heyman said he played Punk so he can never claim he dumped Paul Heyman, Heyman said history will write Paul Heyman dumped CM Punk. Heymnan said to Punk you didn’t want a business relationship you wanted a personal relationship so I made it as personal as I could make it. Heyman said you have no family all you have is them(pointing to the fans). Fans chanted CM Punk. Heyman talked about all Punk wants is the WWE Championship & that he took that away from him because he took away his best friend. Heyman said he betrayed Punk because Punk can’t beat Brock Lesnar. Punk said you know when I want something bas enough I am the most relentless man on the planet & I wont stop until I get it. Punk said he is going to get Heyman & everybody who conspired against him & anybody who gets in his way. Punk said Heyman doesn’t have a future because he is going to burn down everything around him until Heyman is the last man standing & he will keep Heyman alive just long enough to look him in the eyes & hurt Heyman worst of all. Punk called Heyman a SOB. Heyma got on his knees mocking Punk’s ring entrance & said it’s clobbering time & Brock Lesnar came out & Lesnar & Heyman headed to the ring. Punk stared out Lesnar waiting for him & Heyman attacked Punk from behind. Lesnar pulled Punk out to the floor. Punk & Lesnar battled outside the ring. Lesnar delivered a F5 to Punk onto the announcer’s table. Lesnar climbed on tope of the table & looked down at Punk. Heyman & Lesnar left. The trainers came out to check on Punk who was clutching his neck. Punk pushed the trainers away & got up but went back down clutching his neck.

Backstage John Cena was approached by The Great Khali but couldn’t understand a thing Khali said.

Backstage Stephanie McMahon asked Maddox how thing are going. Maddox said he thinks it is going well. Stephanie said she was a little worried about him last night & asked what do you think. Maddox said it’s going very well. Stephanie said I wasn’t asking you. Triple appeared behind Maddox. Triple H said he thinks Maddox is doing a great job so far. Triple H asked Maddox if he talked to Vince McMahon today before he made all of these decisions. Maddox said he couldn’t reach him. Triple H & Stephanie said it’s a big gamble letting Cena chose his opponent for Summer slam. They said if Cena picks who they think he will Vince wont be to happy with that choice. Triple H said good luck in your future endeavors tonight & walked off. Stephanie wished Maddox good luck & walked off.

Rob Van Dam vs Chris Jericho: RVD got the win. It was a great match.

Most of the WWE Superstars was out on the stage & John Cena came to the ring. Cena said he hasn’t made a decision yet. Cena  said he has heared from all of the Superstars but has left out the most important voice the WWE Universe. Cena said he wants to make a decision for a match the people want to see. Fans chanted for Daniel Bryan. Cena said he will mention some names for the fans to let him know how they feel. Cena mentioned Heath Slater or anyone of 3MB, Randy Orton, The Great Khali, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, RVD, Fandango, Sheamus, Ryback, & then asked if there is anybody he is forgetting. Fans chanted Yes! Yes! Yes! Cena said he has made his decision. Fans chanted Daniel Bryan. Cena chose Daniel Bryan. Bryan came to the ring chanting Yes! Yes! Yes! & got face to face with Cena while chanting Yes! The show ended with Bryan & the fans chanting Yes!
