The crowd totally bought into the retirement story and the announcers totally sold it as well as you can hear them talking all happy and laughing. I was so sold on the swerve that even after the World’s Strongest Slam, I still thought it was just gonna be his way of saying goodbye. Not until I heard him say I’ve still got plenty left in the tank did I admit I had been had.
As impressive as all of that was, I personally think the best thing from the entire angle was they way they used social media to hook us in. All the wrestling sites I checked yesterday had stories about what Henry had been tweeting and I sure don’t feel all alone in being “duped” by the creative minds at the WWE.
